Health and Harmony

In this day and age of modern science and high tech, people seem to be exercising more and watching what they eat but why does it seem like more and more people are suffering from cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and a myriad of autoimmune disorders like fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, etc.

Many people seem to think that if they follow the mainstream health trends, eat right, exercise and look good then they are healthy. However, many of the health trends are unfortunately not based on science and good research. For instance, it is believed by many nutritional experts that fish oil is good for you. However, Dr. Brian Peskin from MIT, had analyzed the thousands of research for fish oil and found that many of the researches were flawed and those that were good don’t suggest fish oil as a good supplement for our bodies. He later discovered that parent essential oils were extremely beneficial to the heart, body and brain compared to fish oil. In fact, those who switched from fish oil to parent essential oil had a significant improvement in their health. He has written extensively about parent essential oil in his book, The PEO Solution.

The next big trend is probiotics.  Many companies have jumped on the bandwagon to sell probiotics including all the big chain stores all around the United States including health food stores in bottles, drinks and yogurt. However, what we are not told is that they are not created equal. There are probiotics added to yogurt and many people take it after getting an antibiotic treatment which essentially wipes out all the bad bacteria in the body as well as the good ones. The probiotics in yogurt are useless since they are pasteurized and the process kills the bacteria. Other probiotics get destroyed by other stomach acid and don’t make it to our gut. It is important to use one that can survive and make it to the gut to contribute to the flora of our gut. The one that I use that seem to be quite effective and noticeable is called Thrive and is readily available on Amazon.com. There are about 18 probiotic strains of bacterias that are good for you. One highly regarded nutritionist I spoke with told me that it is a good idea to rotate the types of bacteria we introduce into our system.

Despite the benefits some people have found with shelf or refrigerated types, Anthony William, Medical Medium,  has written that the best place to find probiotics is in fresh, living food like sprouts, alfalfa, broccoli, clover, fenugreek, lentil, mustard, sunflower, kale and other seeds like them. I believe a combination approach may be a good one but getting support directly from nature is always the best.

Many nutritionist nowadays advocate eating a high protein diet and cut back on sweets including fruits. Protein is so important in our body for our muscles. skin, bones and for many our enzymes and hormones. However,  Anthony William warns of the issues with eating animal based protein which is  taxing on our digestive system which includes the spleen, liver and stomach. Conversely, he is a strong advocate fruits. He extols that healing powers of fruits and feels that it is a secret for longevity.

I have suffered health problems when I ate from an animal protein based diet but found greater health, harmony and peace when I consumed from a plant based protein diet. Incorporating more fruits in my body has helped me to feel better as well.

If we don’t get enough fruits, we are depriving ourselves of much micronutrients, phytonutrients and our much needed important form of glucose.

Anthony William has written extensively on the subject of healing, nutrition and the the secrets to the underlying causes of most of our major chronic illnesses like autoimmune related diseases. I highly recommend you to read his book and apply his healing principles for yourselves as well as others. His book is called Medical Medium and can be purchased from Amazon.com.

Let’s go back to my initial question about why so many people who are so called fit and doing all the right things but still get sick or have various illnesses, diseases and cancers. In the newly released movie, Heal, there was a woman who was the epitome of health and harmony. She did Yoga, ate well and juiced. She looked great but suddenly found out she had stage four liver cancer. How is this possible?

I believe that there are various factors which limits us from achieving complete harmony and health despite being fit. They are listed below:

  1. Toxins in the air, food ( antibiotics, hormones, additives, radiation, pesticides, chemicals, etc), flooring ( many if not most flooring has formaldehyde which may have health risk), water, etc.
  2. Stress
  3. Accumulation of toxic metals in the body like aluminum, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, bromide etc
  4. Epstein Barr virus
  5. Toxic subconscious programming
  6. Poor nutrition
  7. Poor hydration
  8. Poor healthy glucose intake
  9. Consumption of unhealthy and fat animal based protein
  10. Negative emotions and thinking
  11. Ego driven life
  12. Lack of sleep
  13. Lack of exericise
  14. Anger and unwillingness to forgive

This is just some of the common things that limit us from achieving health and harmony in life. Fortunately, there is hope if we can better understand how the body works.

When our bodies were created, it was designed to self-heal. Our bodies are not just our physical body but we have various levels of bodies including mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual body. At our core we are energetic beings with energetic super highways called meridians and energetic vortexes called chakras.  We have mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs. When we live in harmony with ourselves, others and the Cosmic, everything is in alignment. However, when we are stressed out living an ego driven life our harmony is thrown off by the cortisol that is produced in the body. If this is chronic, it will shut down our immune system from helping us.

Other factors that weakens our immune system include eating poorly and not consuming enough healthy protein, fruits and vegetables.

Heavy metals in the gut, liver, spleen, brain all disrupt that natural healing that normally takes place. We all have some degree of metals in our bodies through consumption of products or exposure to products. Anthony William points out that we inherit some of the metals from our parents and ancestors as well.

With the odds against us, what can we do? The best approach is a holistic approach that incorporates healthy lifestyle with eating and drinking what our body needs. Eating a plant based diet is the ideal method of eating to achieve great internal harmony. Drinking filtered water that removes all the toxins is recommended. Avoid bottled water that may contain BPA which is carcinogenic. I drink filtrated water through the Kinetico system and then convert it to alkaline water. Go organic!

Stress is probably the biggest trigger for illnesses and disease like the Epstein Barr virus which Anthony William attributes to most of the autoimmune diseases.

The best cure for stress is meditation. Doing it 20- 30 minutes a day helps to turn off the cortisol in our bodies so our immune system can work more efficiently.

Exercise, Yoga, Tai Chi or Qi Qong are excellent at helping us deal with stress and create greater harmony in the body, mind and spirit.

I have written extensively on other healthy methods to cope with stress and achieve a healthy life style filled with harmony in my two books- Dare to Imagine and Beyond Imagination.

With regards to the toxic subconscious programming many of us have since we were little kids, hypnosis and psych-k are great methods to release old toxic programs. Tapping methods are great for releasing trauma as well.

Besides a healthy lifestyle, eating good, meditating and exercising, there are a few more things which are crucial for optimal health or harmony in the body.

We need to work on our gut health and work on improving our intake of good quality probiotics.

We need to detox regularly to release the trapped metals in our bodies that we all have. They are like magnets to the Epstein Barr Virus that so many people have. They feed on the metals and their excrements and decayed bodies cause us to have an inflammatory response in our bodies and is the birthplace of many autoimmune diseases or what William Anthony calls Mystery Illnesses.

There are various detox products in the market. I take various products to detox including green barley powder, Body Solution’s Native American detox solution and a pectasol detox tablets. I also add parsley, cucumber and cilantro to my juicing and salad.  Anthony William has many excellent recommendations for a very comprehensive detox and healing program.

I have been taking supplements for years with good benefits. It is best to get most of our nutrients from a good source of protein, fruits and vegetables but sometimes depending on what is going on within our bodies, we need certain supplements to better improve body functions. However, I recommend consulting with a qualified nutritionist when purchasing for supplements.

For those who want to perfect their health even more, I recommend delving into the world of herbal tonic elixirs. They address what is called the Three Treasures of China; they are the three essential energies in the body for health-Jing, Qi and Shen. The only company I recommend for these quality products is from Dragon Herbs.com. Their products are researched thoroughly and we are given the highest grade of herbs available. The store is owned by Ron Teeguarden, a Master Herbalist.

Lastly, living a life filled with love, compassion, forgiveness, kindness and service will bring the body, mind and spirit to a high state of harmony. When we learn to find our true nature and live a God Realized and Christ Conscious life then we will have reached the highest level of harmony with mankind, Mother Earth, the  Cosmos and God. Such is the way and life of Yogi.

Longevity-an updated version with a Hollywood Twist

Since the beginning of civilization, there has been a relentless quest  for the fountain of youth or an insatiable  search for finding methods to prolong our lives. During biblical times, it has been reported that some have lived to  be anywhere from several hundred to 969 years old to 1000 years old.

Susan Shumsky, author of Ascension, wrote about a Chinese man- Master Li Qing Yun-who lived to be at least 250 years of age in her book. Master Yun learned about the ancient art of longevity one day after he met a 500 year old Taoist. When asked what was his secret, the master replied that he did an ancient exercise called Ba-Kua ( eight trigrams). I am familiar with this method since my former Gung Fu master, Sifu Y. C. Wong, practiced this everyday in his studio. After so many years, he still looks the same and still full of vitality as I see him walk the streets of Chinatown.  Perhaps there is some truth to it.

Master Yun also met a herbalist on a mountain who walked quite fast and had much energy. He found out that the herbalist was consuming goji berries in his diet.  He listened and followed what others did and and eventually became a traditional Chinese doctor ,herbal expert / herbalist and Qigong Master according to Ganga Nath, author of Herbs for Spiritual Development, spiritual teacher, Tea Master and founder of the Universal Fellowship of Light.  New York Times reported Master Yun’s death on May 6, 1933 as “The Amazing 250-Year-Old Man.” According to Ganga, he was a vegetarian and drank goji berry tea and was a meditator.

Japanese people have been known to have good health and longevity. Some say it is because of their seafood rich diet full of health omega-3 fatty acids. Others point out the high consumption of seaweeds that help by supplying a good source of protein, iodine, and potassium.  Some research seems to indicate that it helps to regulate estrogen and helps with PMS. Then there are those who say that all the karaoke  that they do helps with cardiovascular health and dealing with stress.

Each country has its own version of what their people do to attain  longevity. Back in the old days, people were more active and ate better quality food-food that was fresh and organic.

Achieving longevity in this day and age can be quite a challenge due to the number of contaminants in our water, air, sea and food supply. However, I believe it is still possible to some degree  to achieve longevity; it just takes some education, awareness, work and effort.

I have worked with the geriatric population for many years, have interviewed centenarians and studied holistic health for quite a few years and have come up with my recipe for longevity.

Longevity

  1. Nutrition is very important. Eat an organic and mostly vegetarian diet. Eat  food that is appropriate for your Apo -e gene ( The Perfect Gene Diet). Vegan and a raw food diet ( vegetables) can be helpful for many. Be aware that cooking food at high temperatures can destroy the pranic energy in food. Best to eat food with pranic energy preserved. Drink plenty of water according to the needs of the body to be hydrated. Take only the supplements your body needs.
  2. Exercise: dancing, Bak-Kua, tai chi, yoga, qi gong, swimming, brisk walk.
  3. See your doctor at least once a year for a full physical and have good communication with your doctor on what you are doing and taking.
  4. Have a positive outlook on things. Always count your blessings and practice non-judgement.
  5. Live life passionately.
  6. Learn to forgive.
  7. Do the things you enjoy.
  8. Don’t take things too seriously. Learn to laugh.
  9. Meditate
  10. Incorporate the Serenity Prayer into your life.
  11. Eat plenty of fiber, keep the colon flowing and maintain a good flora in your colon.
  12. Detoxify your body on a regular basis.
  13. Drinking herbal tonic elixirs regularly can facilitate optimum health.
  14. Fasting regularly helps to cleanse and purify your body.

There are some who swear by noni juice, goji berries, wheatgrass, spirulina and other super nutrients. Meanwhile, there are others who take supplements to help remove some of the radiation we consume in our food or breathe from the air. Dr. Fred Bell believes that Shou Wu Chih helps cleanse our blood, removes the radiation from our body, replenishes our Qi and cleans the liver. However, it behooves one to research anything one consumes to make sure that what you consume does not have an adverse effect on your body. For instance, eating excessive goji berry may cause some stomach problems. With regards to spirulina, there are reports that it can cause some liver issues. The moral of the story is to do your homework and consult with your physician and health care provider for anything you take. However, Anthony Williams does recommend it but only from Hawaii to help remove heavy metals from our bodies.

Ganga Nath’s book is about tonic herbs and how it can help one achieve radiant health and longevity. He wrote about the importance of the Three Treasures Philosophy from China. They are about the three components of our health that need to be addressed to achieve good mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. They are Jing ( primordial energy), Qi and Shen ( Spirit).  Ganga considers the above philosophy as China’s greatest gift to humanity. Tonic Herbs can help with the three components. Ganga wrote about one particular tea which is touted to be the best tea in the world. It is called Spring Dragon Longevity Tea which can be purchased at www.dragonherbs.com. I drink this tea daily as part of my health routine and find it quite relaxing and refreshing. It contains Gynostemma or what is known in China as Magical Grass. In 1972, Japanese researchers discovered that many Chinese octogenarians drank this herb. I do drink tonic herbs and find it very holistic and supportive to optimal health. I purchase them at http://www.dragonherbs.com. Ron Teeguarden , a Daoist Herbal Master, owns the store and purchases only the highest grade of herbs for his customers. I purchase my goji berries only from him since they are probably one of the highest quality. When purchasing herbs, it is important to get quality herbs because many are grown in soil that are depleted of minerals or grown in poor conditions.  What I like about the store is that when you call them, you can get a free consultation from a knowledgeable herbalist when you purchase their products.

Brian Peskin, BSEE-MIT ( he is the world’s foremost expert specializing in physiologic EFAs- known as PEO) and Dr. Robert Rowen ( he is considered today’s foremost pioneer of bold, healing methods that are putting an end to our most common diseases; he is the father of medical freedom) extols the wonders and benefits of PEO ( Parent Essential Oil) from a scientific standpoint on its positive effect on cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

Brian’s  scientific studies have stood the test of time. He writes about the fallacy about the benefits of fish oil in his book PEO Solutions. He goes into great length explaining the benefits of PEO at the cellular level. This book is quite comprehensive  and written for physicians but is easy for anyone to follow.

Dr. Rowen is a staunch supporter of a raw food vegetarian diet for health. He feels there are three major causes of chronic or degenerative illness/disease: improper nutrition, toxins and stress. “It’s a simple matter of natural law.”

I was fortunate to have recently met with one of Hollywood’s Gem or what I call Hollywood’s real Wonder Women- Joycelyne Lew. She is an actress ( film, TV, and voice over actress), magician at the Magic Castle, comedian, model, celebrity guest, cosmologists, entrepreneur, savvy business woman, martial artist ( Wing Chun), dancer, producer and chef. She has her own TV cooking show.

She is also a scholar and is an alumni of UCLA with a double bachelor’s degree including one in urban education and theater arts. She later got her master’s degree at Pepperdine University in education.

She is truly an amazing women who has been around Hollywood for a long time and is well connected with the Hollywood scene.

She has acted with Jackie Chan in the Big Brawl. Been in many films including Big Trouble in Little China. She is still in acting, modeling and has her own cooking show.

The amazing thing about Joycelyne is that she is quite stunning, active and attractive despite her biological age. She appears many decades younger than her biological age. She has perfect skin, hair, teeth, and nails. She has a body type of a young woman in her twenties or thirties. She has been a body double in Hollywood including being one for Kim Bassinger on a billboard many years ago and is still a hand, body and feet model.

The amazing thing about her too is that she has an incredible amount of energy and only sleeps about four hours a day.

I interviewed her to learn her secrets of her radiant and youthful appearance and health.

She told me that she has been taking primarily two herbs for the past eleven years which she feels has made a tremendous difference in her health, appearance and energy.

The two herbs she takes are a special blend of  Reishi and Cordyceps. According to Dr. Axe, Reishi has been associated with health benefits to defend against tumor growth and cancer. It also helps the liver, heart, blood pressure, hormones, diabetes, allergies, asthma, infections and viruses. It is also known as an energy booster, a good source of antioxidant and a has anti-aging qualities.

Joycelyne has given her special blend of Reishi to a friend and to her surprise his hair began to change from white to black at least 75% of it. I actually saw the picture of her friend and was quite flabbergasted to see that an inch or two of white hair were left at the tip while the rest was black.

With regards to Cordyceps, Dr. Axe stated that there are six benefits which include immune function, anti-aging effects, improve stamina and athletic performance, acting as a natural Aphrodisiac, fight diabetes, improve liver function amd detoxification and fight respiratory infections.

Joycelyne’s father has been taking these herbs and has been traveling around the world way into his 90s. He passed away at the ripe age of 97 years old but Joyceleyne had an epiphany and later realized that they had stopped taking the herbs for a few months prior his death. She believed that they were sustaining his life.  At the rate Joycelyne is going, looking and feeling with what she is doing, I have no doubt she will outlive her father’s age.

Besides her herbs, she is quite active with all her businesses and dances regularly which keeps her body and mind active and healthy.

With regards to her perfect skin, she attributes it to a facial and body creme from Juventud called Eternal.  She showed me before and after pictures of her using the product and showed how her previous facial wrinkles appear to have all disappeared. I was quite impressed by it.

She also does certain exerices to improve and tone the facial muscles to decrease wrinkles. She doesn’t believe in plastic surgery or not of Botox but rather utilize holistic methods instead.

Joycelyne  is quite conscientious about the water she drinks. She is fully aware of the toxins in our water and that is why she has a state of the art water filtration system which removes all toxins and even hormones. It is a medical grade water system made by Lifetime Solutions.

You can reach her at her printing company, Final Print. She would be happy to help if you call her at 323 466-0566.

Whether you are a mystic, taoist monk, yogi, martial art master, model, actress, grandparent, parent or a college student, longevity should not be a goal in life but, rather, an outcome of living in harmony with your body, mind and spirit.  As you have learned earlier, there is much you can do to impact those areas but addressing the Jing, Qi and Shen energies ( the three treasures of China) through herbal tonic elixirs seem like a no brainer as far as methods to bring about greater depth of health and harmony in the body, mind and spirit.

The most important ingredient for longevity is living life passionately- doing what you enjoy and having fun doing it. Also, living out of love, compassion and service brings meaning and purpose to our lives. Finally, when the me or ego begins to dissolve into the Tao of Divine Love, we can begin to transcend  the laws of karma and begin to soar as another beautiful and great immortal.

Financial Planning with a Spiritual Twist

Many people live for the moment and don’t even think about their future with regards to their savings, financial planning, and retirement. The same is true with spirituality.

Our ego perpetuated and manufactured reality conditions us to live in the moment, consume and to purchase our way to an artificial happiness. Such a life style has led many to living a life that is from check to check. With a few things that go awry here and there, it  doesn’t take much to push people to the point of poverty and become homeless. Even those who are wealthy can easily reach this point especially when they spend more than have. MC Hammer is an example of someone who was once on top of the world but later became bankrupt. It can happen to anyone of us. Hence, it is important that we save for those rainy days.

It is never to young or too old to save. Although most people’s first route of saving money is in the bank, it is probably the least effective way to make it grow due to low interest rates and the checking fees. However, we all have to start somewhere. Once we have accumulated a decent amount like one to ten thousand or more, it may be a good idea to consult with a financial planner or adviser. Always interview your financial planner thoroughly and make sure he or she has a proven track records with other clients. Just because you go into a brand name financial investment firm doesn’t guarantee that your money is being managed well. It is important that your financial planner is great at communicating any changes that need to be made with your investments due to poor performance of your stocks or mutual funds. If your money just sits in a firm with no communication at all despite the fluctuating money markets or your money is not growing then you might want to find another firm. If you find a good financial planner, your money could grow exponentially and even double or triple over time with proper planning and adjustments every year.

Money can only grow if we invest it in mutual funds, stocks or bonds ( this being the least yield but the most secure or conservative). A good financial planner can advise on which mix is best. Depending on your age, your adviser may recommend a conservative, moderate or high risk investment. Generally the higher the risk the greater the yield. A diversified investment plan is most likely the safest. The old saying that one should never put all eggs in one basket is a good advise with financial investment as well.

It must be noted that many mutual funds have transactions fees which ultimately chip away at the growth of your money. Most financial advisors won’t tell you this unless you ask. There are funds out there with low transaction fees.

Many people have a 401K retirement program at their work and this is probably the best place to start your financial growth and investment since many companies match a percentage of what the employee invest. Those who are self-employed can start a solo-401 K investment or other investment program with companies like John Hancock or Ascensus Trust but consulting with a financial planner will help one set one up.

Investment is meant for long term so one must not touch those savings until retirement age. With financial awareness and proper investment and planning, we can create a very comfortable retirement.

What about those credit cards? They seem so user friendly and innocent with their low introductory rates to lure us in. Before long, the rates increase to 20% or more. Many of us pay the minimum and become a prisoner of our growing rates that keeps us from paying it off. Best advice is not to use it or pay it off completely less you become a prisoner to credit card debt.

With regards to spirituality, most people are in spiritual poverty. Most people don’t have a clue of what spirituality is really all about. Many follow so called gurus, spiritual teachers or masters blindly. Many devotees worship these teachers as a God and become dependent on them without really growing spiritually and truly evolving as they were meant to. Millions of others become devout church goers using the church as sort of a spiritual gas station and refilling once a week the emptiness they may feel. This is good for church business but bad for spiritual growth. It is worse with performance than investing with bonds.

True spirituality is about discovering our true nature, finding that Divine Light and Love within us and all of God’s Creation and becoming one with God and his Divine Love and Consciousness which permeates all of reality.

We reap what we sow. If we invest in our self-discovery, cultivation and spirituality, the spiritual yield can be enormous and bring us eternal freedom or consciousness.

There is nothing wrong with being a devotee or church goer. I have met many great individuals who follow a guru, master or saint and are very spiritual. I have also met many people who are extremely spiritual and are church goers. I have even recommended people to attend a church to give them the initial support they need.

On the other hand, I have been to churches, temples, halls and have seen and felt so much ego and testosterone all around by the various leaders  in the group due to their elevated position in the group. Many times these people think they are better than others and are self-righteous people. They forget that this way of thinking is straight from the ego and will stunt their spiritual growth. Hence, it is not the church, temple, shrine that makes us spiritual, it is beyond that and is more personal. In order for us to grow and prosper spiritually, we must have a devotional practice which include daily prayer, meditation, and reading or studying spiritual materials that would lead us to our true nature.  Although all of us are busy, consistency with our spirituality and devotion is extremely important. Part of being spiritual is becoming more conscious and awaken of our true nature and that of all others and all of Creation. We must live out of love, compassion and forgiveness. We must practice random acts of kindness and allow love to guide our every thought, action an deeds. We must never stop our quest to finding our true self  and ultimately finding God and then having communion with him or her.

The more time we spend with our spirituality, cultivation and growth, the more we are investing in our soul’s growth and eventual freedom and liberation where we transcend the laws of karma. We must invest our time and energy wisely to grow just like how we invest our money with our investments. If we don’t, we will continue to be in spiritual poverty and be bounded by the laws of karma and will return back into another incarnation with a clean slate consciousness until we awaken again.

We are bounded by negative karma when we think, act, say and do negative things to ourselves as well as others.  We are bounded by it when we are slaves to our ego or live an ego perpetuated life. We may go to church, have a high exacted title or memorize all versus of the Bible or Bhagavad Gita but until we give up our negative thoughts and behaviors, we are unable to evolve spiritually and are are chained to the karmic energy we have created.

The more we live by love, acceptance, gratitude and non-judgement, the more we are able to grow spiritually. If we learn to trust and surrender to God, the Universe and our I AM Presence completely, the spiritual dividends and interest can have extremely high yield. Such a surrender will turn us into a spiritual billionaire where the gift we receive is eternal life as an Enlightened Being of Love, Light and Divine Consciousness. This state is where we can enjoy our next adventure in the next heavenly realm or we can even still help those on the earthly plane after our physical body is returned to Mother Earth but still exist with full consciousness. Those who are advanced enough may even transcend physical death and merge with their Rainbow Body and Light and become spontaneous light through Tibetan Buddhist practice; meanwhile, others can achieve other methods of ascension as well but all require spiritual investments of love, time, commitment, gratitude, devotion, meditation, prayer, kindness, and the relentless search for God and our true nature. When that happens we begin to lose attachment for the worldly pleasures and become more interested in the communion and unity with God, all of humanity and all of Creation.

Wishing you success with your financial investments as well as your spiritual investments. May both mature and give high yields of abundance of love, happiness and joy. There is nothing wrong with money and growth. It is especially helpful when we are financially strong enough to help those in need. May we use our money, time and spiritual skills to help one another find the beauty and spark of light within ourselves, others and all of Creation.

Namaste!

The Rainbow Body Phenomenon

The Rainbow Body Phenomenon is something that has spark much interest with many New Agers, spiritual teachers, mystics and those who are spiritually inclined (especially in the past decade). Although it is an extremely fascinating phenomenon, it is certainly not new and has been around for thousands of years.

What exactly is a Rainbow Body is somewhat hard to explain but I will attempt to share my understanding of it in an easy to understand way for the purpose of the blog but it is actually much more complex than that.

It is an individualized God Presence within us and all of Creation. Some call it the I AM Presence or Divine Spark of Light. It is anchored within our hearts. When we die, our life force, consciousness and energy draws up towards our Rainbow Body as it proceeds to move towards the Universe and bring us to the next level of reality.

Most of us are bounded by the laws of Karma and our souls are usually reintroduced into our planet in our next incarnation by default. That cycle repeats over and over again until we achieve mastery on how to transcend this karmic wheel.

Many people have achieved great mastery on transcending the karmic cycle and become liberated and free to exist in a higher level of consciousness and reality. Examples of this include Paramhansa Yogananda, Sri Yukteswar, Sathya Sai Baba, etc. These Masters have achieved what we call ascension.

Most of these Divine Gurus and Saint usually die in a relatively normal way. However, Yogananda’s death was somewhat extraordinary according to the coroner. When he died the coroner noticed that Yogananda’s body was well-preserved and seem to resist the normal decay process for at least 30 days. Things like this happens with highly evolved Divine Beings or Avatars.

When it comes to the Rainbow Body phenomenon, very specific things happen. For instance, these spiritual masters usually know when they will be departing from this world and will go into seclusion as they prepare for this incredible phenomenon. They will meditate and work on clearing all issues in their lives, tying up loose ends and filling their entire being with love. Eventually many of them will go into a state that appears that they are dead. Many will begin to  shrink in size in the next several weeks. One Lama shrank from 5’9″ to a mere 8 inch once the process was complete. This was the case with Dzogchen Lama Karma Rinpoche when he passed away on the 11th of November, 2013. His picture is featured above. He attained what they call Small Rainbow Body or Jalu Phowa Chung. Two weeks after he passed away, his body shrank 80% It must be pointed out that it is not normal for bones to shrink in this fashion. Sometimes all that is left is just the nails and a pile of dust. Other times, the person is able to able ascend instantly into a flash of light and the body is gone as the soul merges with the Rainbow Body. A catholic priest was once invited to witness a Lama going through Rainbow Body. Father Francis Tiso was the first westerner to witness rainbows coming out of the place where the Lama was attaining Rainbow Body. He also heard angelic voices and smelled a pleasant fragrance from the place where the Rainbow Body was occuring. If that wasn’t amazing enough, many leave behind some type of proof that they have reached this ascended state of consciousness. The famous, legendary and founding father of the Nyingma Buddhist Sect, Padmasambava, left a footprint through solid rock in a cave as well as many others who achieved this ascended state. Padmasambava also manifested carvings on the wall of a cave with his mind. He was responsible for bringing Buddhism from India to Tibet and merging it with the Tibetan religion-Bon. The result of that led to the Tibetan Buddhist religion they have today.

Many people have achieved Rainbow Body in the world-160,000 to be exact; 100,000 in China and 60,000 in Tibet according to David Wilcox. People are still achieving this Rainbow Rainbow even til this day. My friend, Ganga Nath ( who is an internationally recognized spiritual teacher) recently posted about his Tibetan Lama’ s teacher’s teacher and how he had recenty attained Rainbow Body.

Many other enlightened beings have achieved this phenomenon as well including Jesus, some Catholic Saints, some Zen Masters, the Sikh’s first Guru, Guru Nanak, etc. All of the Ascended Masters have attained that state or something similar to that where they have transcended the laws of karma and reached an ascended state of consciousness and immortality. Although people from around the world have achieved the Rainbow Body state,  the Tibetans have perfected the mastery of attaining it. It takes years of spiritual mastery to achieve that state. The type of meditation these Tibetans do is called Dzogchen.

The Rainbow Body is a powerful example of what can be achieve through love, proper meditation, devotion and spiritual practice.

Although achieving the Rainbow Body is one form of ascension, there are other ways of attaining it as well. Different religions and mystics have taught different paths to reach that same path of enlightenment, self-realization and liberation.

It may be daunting to the average Joe to even conceive of attaining ascension but I truly believe that we can all achieve it during our life time in our own context through the tools I have shared in my books ( Dare to Imagine and Beyond Imagination). These books were Divinely inspired and were meant to guide one towards the path of God realization, enlightenment and liberation. The third book of my trilogy series ( not yet released) will go into depth of my Divinely inspired meditation system-U.U.M.M. meditation system). This system was designed to help a person establish that oneness with God, the Universe, humanity and all of Creation. My books, blogs, teachings  and meditation practices are a path and ways of a Yogi, although not in a strict Hindu sense. According to one of Yogananda’s great disciples, Swami Kriyananda, all path that lead towards union and oneness with God is a path of a Yogi. ” Spiritual seekers in any religion , if they pray and meditate sincerely, may rightly be termed yogis.”( The Essence of the Bhaghavad Gita explained by Paramhansa Yogananda). “When Krishna told Arjuna to be a yogi, he didn’t mean necessary to be a Hindu yogi. All those in every religion who sincerely seek God walk the same path.”

The goal of my path is for oneness with God, Mother Earth, Humanity and all of Creation. Being one with God is the ultimate method of transformation and liberation. May you be inspired to begin your journey towards achieving your own spiritual mastery and journey towards liberation.

The Olympic Special

The 2016 Olympic Games  in Rio de Janeiros has been quite amazing to watch and read about. The greatest athletes and Olympians have all gathered in the beautiful city of Rio to finally show case what they have been training for  years to  perfect.

Many of the Olympians have been dreaming about being a great Olympian since they were just a child. It was so touching to watch about the childhood story of Ryan Murphy, a gold medal Olympian. He wrote a book at the age of eight about his dream of winning the Olympic and dedicated it to his mother. This week he was able to make his dream come true as he dominated the men’s 100m and 200m backstroke.

It was also so inspirational to watch Michael Phelp prove that through  his determination, training and experience  he could  overcome his age limitation and the doubts of his dubious critics. He helped paved the way for others to bring up the bar for swimming to a whole new level. Kudos to Michael for racking up 22 Gold Medals and inspiring swimmers and athletes around the world to be their best.

Xian, the unedited Blog Version

China is a very ancient civilization that is rich and diverse in history, culture, arts, food, philosophy and religion. According to the American Historical Association, China has the longest continuous history of any country in the world—3,500 years of written history. Consequently, there is a plethora of material to discuss or write about.  Join me today as I write about one of China’s gem- Xi’an ( Western Peace) or what was once known as Chang’an ( Eternal Peace). Xi’an is one of the four oldest cities in China and is known for being the starting point of the well-known Silk Road as well as being the home of the Terracotta Army of  Emperor Qin Shi Huang. This emperor was known for many things but one interesting thing is his relentless search for the elixir of immortality. Interestingly enough, one of the local religions of this city is Taoism. Taoism is a philosophy and religion of having oneness with the Universe.

Taoist monks and practitioner have a profound understanding of the Universe, Nature and the Cosmic Energy of the Universe. They strive to live in harmony with the Universe and find means to achieve longevity or even immortality. Tao is known as the way or the path. However, it is much more profound than that and is sometimes described as the underlying force or energy in the Universe. Some even call it even Source, Cosmos or God. The Taoist Monk or practitioners strive for perfection of health and harmony through breath work, proper nutrition, drinking certain elixirs, practicing certain exercises and meditation.
